Trauma, Anxiety & Depression
Drawing from my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I approach helping individuals with trauma, anxiety, and depression by guiding them towards recognizing and restructuring negative thought patterns, while also teaching them coping strategies to manage intense emotions and distress.
CBT's focus on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems, is foundational. DBT adds layers of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, promoting a more balanced life.
Through these therapeutic frameworks, I aim to empower individuals to understand the interplay between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and equip them with practical skills to navigate life's challenges. This approach fosters a journey from a place of hardship to one of joy and fulfillment, by building resilience, enhancing self-awareness, and encouraging a life lived in accordance with personal values and goals, thus opening a pathway to healing and growth.
